Identify the motor and the attachment.

A low-speed setup can include a motor, a straight nose cone or a contra-angle, and a separate head. Recording the markings on each piece helps us identify the parts and explain the work your equipment needs.

Low-speed motors

Our guide includes Star Titan II and III, Midwest Shorty I and II, Midwest Tru Torc, Midwest Rhino / RDH and other listed motors. Describe a motor that will not run, loses power, or makes an unusual sound.

We assess its condition before recommending an overhaul. The exact model and required parts determine the final estimate.

Nose cones, contra-angles & heads

List the attachment separately from its motor. Tell us whether the issue involves rotation, noise, the latch or push button, or holding the bur securely.

Options in the guide include nose cone service, latch-angle rebuilds and push-button cartridge replacement. Include the model and ratio when marked.

Not sure which piece is causing the problem? Add a photo beside the handpiece on your work order, or call us before shipping to discuss what to send. A photo helps identify the equipment; an inspection may still be needed to diagnose the fault.
